What it is and what it is not

For older dogs or long-legged dogs that slide at home, for puppies that skid down the corridor, and for dogs after surgery whose vet has asked that they not slip.

The sock has rubber on the sole and a reflective nylon band that fastens above the pastern. The paw grips on a polished floor and the dog stops braking with its nails. You notice it in how often you hear the slide in the hallway.

It treats no joint condition and it does not replace what your vet has told you to do. It is also not a street boot: the rubber is thin and wears fast on tarmac. With dogs that pull anything off with their mouth you will need patience.

How to use
